The results of the NAWBO South Carolina survey are in! A sincere thank you to all the wonderful women business owners who participated. We received very helpful feedback in terms of meeting times, topics, speakers, and locations.
For the Columbia arm of the chapter, a meeting location of the Capital City Club was voted in by a majority of survey participants, so we will continue to hold our meetings there. The meeting time and format will change slightly due to feedback from survey participants: meetings will begin at 5:30, with 15 minutes for check-in and networking, 15 minutes for introductions to the group, 5 minutes for the meeting sponsor to speak, 30 minutes for the speaker to present his or her topic, 5 minutes for Q&A afterward, and 30 minutes of networking at the end (optional).
We are currently working on confirming speakers and topics for the remainder of the year, beginning in October. We have some exciting potential speakers! Please return to this website or keep an eye out for posts on our chapter's Facebook and Twitter pages announcing our upcoming speaker.
Please register online in advance if you know you will be attending by clicking on the "pay online" button in the left column. Registrations after this dates will only be accepted on a space available basis. Our registration deadlines are necessary because we must give a guest count to our venues a week in advance, and at that point we must make decisions on what size room to reserve based on seating and price. The meeting time and format will change slightly due to feedback from survey participants: meetings will begin at 6:30, with 15 minutes for check-in and networking, 15 minutes for introductions to the group, 5 minutes for the meeting sponsor to speak, 30 minutes for the speaker to present his or her topic, 5 minutes for Q&A afterward, and 30 minutes of networking at the end (optional).
